The Lyon County Sheriff’s Department Special Investigations Unit arrested Dayton resident Lamont Ontario Williams on Thursday, January 3rd. The Tri-County Gang Unit assisted the SIU.
According to the LCSD, Williams was in possession of 15.3 grams of methamphetamine at the time of his arrest on a felony drug trafficking warrant.
Upon searching Williams’ Dayton residence, authorities seized 42.9 grams of cocaine, 93.9 grams of methamphetamine, $46,150 in cash, as well as a loaded firearm.
Sheriff Al McNeil said on the Lyon County Sheriff’s Facebook page, “This is the result of tenacious police work by our SIU team. I could not be prouder of these deputies. Their focus is on felon street crimes, and as Lamont Williams learned last night, the SIU success rates sends a loud and clear message: ‘Criminal activities in Lyon County are going to cost you!’”.
According to an unnamed SIU member, the location of the arrest will not be released and this is an ongoing investigation.
